NCAP
Nashville, Tennessee
The Nashville Cultural Arts Project is a nonprofit organization that is involved in researching the reuse of the Neuhoff Building, a meat packing plant built in 1906. The site is located four blocks away from the State Capital building downtown and sits directly on the Cumberland River.
In collaboration with the owners and Mel Chin, we have been involved in evaluating the building’s current condition and projecting future uses for several of the spaces on site. Currently, we are involved in a series of feasibility studies and retrofitting the new facility. The program includes a new auditorium, classrooms, apartments, bistros and a working roof-top garden that will begin a series of ecologically sensitive rooftops throughout the entire site.
